Biscuit Barrel c1930s
The lid is slightly oversized and a little creamier than the base. The handle is contemporary, but not the original. The base is crazed with a little minor discolouration mainly inside and there is a small rim chip. One of the side knobs has been restuck but this is well camouflaged by the loop of the handle! Oh dear this does sound absolutely awful but actually most of the "problems" only apparent on close inspection.

Backstamp: with H M & Co, England,Rd No 656368. This is believed to have been an independent pottery in Staffordshire and all Yuan vases have this backstamp rather than the usual Woods Yuan cartouche.
A few very minor manufacturing blemishes, overall excellent condition.

These vases are magnificent of lovely proportions and in a beautiful shape, which is fundamentally square, but with rounded, bulbous lines.

Gorgeous covered vase, the cover having a small Dog of Fo finial.
Backstamp: H M & Co, England Rd No 656368. H M & Co are believed to be an independent pottery in Staffordshire. All Yuan vases have this backstamp rather than the more common Woods Yuan cartouche. H M & Co is a backstamp widely recorded on other designs and vases appear to have been a particular speciality.
Underneath there is a very small minor chip, otherwise excellent condition.

Ewer and Bowl c1920s
Superb large ewer and bowl.
Backstamp: Yuan Wood & Sons England also on Ewer impressed Cauldwell.
The ewer has a little crazing, a little minor discolouration inside the spout and underneath a little wear to the foot. The bowl has minor surface scratching inside and just a little wear to the outer rim. Overall a lovely set.
