The blue varies a bit between tiles and a few printing blemishes, but generally OK. These tiles have been used in the past, so the usual minor chips etc and remains of mortar or adhesive, but all of which is really minor and the faces of the tiles are good. Suitable for decorative display or use.

We believe it to date from the 1930s although there is no maker's backstamp.
There is a minor nick to one of the points of the shell, a minor glazing fault which occured during manufacture and a few lines of crazing to the glaze. It was made with two lugs on the back to allow it to be hung easily on the wall. Dimensions: 26.5 cm x 23 cm / 10.5 ins x 9 ins

| Maker: Unattributed Maker Pattern:Unidentified Pattern Knife Rests Pair c1830 The same delightful Chinese landscape scene appears on both these knife rests, which have become so hard to find today, especially in a matching pair. We believe they may be Chinese Porcelain pattern and made by Rogers, although there is no maker's backstamp.
The glaze is lightly crazed and there are a few signs of wear on both. One rest has had knocks on two diagonally opposite corners, which have left chips. The other rest is in excellent condition. Dimensions: 11 x 3 cm / 4.5 x 1.25 ins

There is a chip to the rim of the jar (visible in photograph) and there appears to have been a little adjustment made to the inside rim of the screw top, which was subsequently glazed over - perhaps why it fits so well!
