| Maker: Unattributed Maker Pattern:Asiatic Pheasants Muffin Dish c1880 I have a soft spot for muffin dishes and this one is particularly good. The base has two attractive pierced and moulded side handles. It is beautifully patterned inside and around the outside has wide border decoration around the body and narrow border to the foot. It has light crazing and there are a couple of signs of age but it is still bright and clean. The cover has a superb loop handle and is surrounded by an embossed leaf design. It has an area of light staining (strong muffins!) and very fine crazing otherwise fine. There are no makers marks just an impressed A or could be V! Overall it would be difficult to find a prettier dish. Dimensions: Base 22 cm x 21.5 cm / Base 8.75 ins x 8.5 ins

| Maker: Unattributed Maker Pattern:Asiatic Pheasants Tea Kettle c1910 This is an enigma and certainly the rarest piece we have ever seen in Asiatic Pheasants. The design is printed in quite a bold blue on a slightly grey body, which appears to be ironstone. The handle, neck and spout are picked out with gold highlights.
The tea kettle is in excellent condition. The lid is a replacement, slightly too small, but a good colour match. It is plain and undecorated.
There is no maker's backstamp and we are at a loss to suggest, who might have made this intriguing item. Dimensions: 1.2 litre 18 cm high overall / 2 pint 7 ins high overall

| Maker: Unattributed Maker Pattern:Asiatic Pheasants Ewer c1880 Attractive ewer on a wide spread round foot. Toilet wares in Asiatic Pheasants are so rare.
The glaze is crazed and has taken up a little associated staining, but mainly confined inside. There are some stress cracks, apparently occurring during manufacture and mainly around the handle joins. Our ceramic conservator has professionally stabilised these, so they will not progress. She has also restored a minor rim chip, so it all looks OK.
Really lovely and looks quite fine on display.
No makers backstamp.
Dimensions: 3 ltr 28.5 cm high / 5 pint 11.25 ins high

| Maker: Unattributed Maker Pattern:Asiatic Pheasants Wash Bowl c1880 Toilet wares in Asiatic Pheasants are so rare and this basin is a cracker. Large, deep and spreading, but (and this is a big but!) it has had a life. The glaze is finely crazed and has taken up some staining through use. A hairline running down from the rim has been professionally stabilised by our ceramic conservator so it will not progress and the integrity of the bowl is assured. There is a thumping great chip under the inner foot rim, which just shows through, but otherwise is hidden from view.
If you like your Asiatic Pheasants to look historic then you will love this. If you prefer perfection we do sell brand new Burleigh Ware!

| Maker: Unattributed Maker Pattern:Asiatic Pheasants Wash Bowl c1880 Toilet wares are rarely found in Asiatic Pheasants, but here we have an attractive toilet basin. Deep, standing on a foot rim and rising up to an over spread rim. Sadly it has had a rather brutal life, resulting in two long and two short hairlines running down from the rim, which our ceramic conservator has professionally stabilised so they will not worsen. There are also three under rim chips. The glaze is finely crazed with some associated staining. What can we say? A historic piece, with a quiet dignity, which will appeal to those who like to see the scars of a life lived to the full.
