Open salts are such a delight, yet in their day must have been fairly utility items, which is probably why not many survive today. Lovely proportions and printed on both sides with the traditional Willow pattern, with border decoration to the foot and inner rim of the bowl.
The glaze is finely crazed and in the bowl there is a little faint staining from use. Otherwise excellent condition.

This is a lovely set of a pepper pot, covered mustard pot and open salt on a delightful little tray with a shell like side handle. Light all over crazing with a tiny stain on the rim, a little wear mainly to the rim which has a little loss of glaze in a couple of areas and on the back a little minor wear and under the rim a tiny tiny hairline again with a little loss of glaze. Oh dear, this sounds much worse than it looks, it is a lovely dish.
