Sauce Tureen c1920s
Oh great joy to find a sauce tureen complete with stand cover AND ladle! Stand is in superb condition and in addition to blue printed marks has an impressed crescent. The tureen has a tiny chip to the rim, not noticeable when the cover is in situ'. The ladle has a plain white bowl with the border pattern along the stem. Cover is fine. All in all a superb set.

Sauce Boat c1930
The sauce boat in Abbey turns up rarely and is always sought after. This is the slightly lower squatter shape. Apart from a minor glaze blemish and a couple of small areas, where the glaze has crazed, this boat is in superb condition. Blue printed backstamp Abbey 1790 in cartouche, with G Jones & Sons, England above.

This bowl has the Abbey border but in the centre is King William IVs Coach. Backstamp: Crescent GJ & Sons George Jones & Sons Made in England. Full text on the front is King William IV's Coach was used by Queen Adelaide an Aunt of Queen Victoria and later as the State Coach of the Judges of Assize at Carlisle 75 years ago. Excellent condition.

Toast Rack c1930s
One of the Abbey rarities, the toast rack, here in the five bar version. Decorated with the border design to the foot and with blue lines and dots to the bars. This is as near perfect as they come. There is a minor stress crack, occuring in manufacture, at the base of one bar and the occasional tiny line of craze in the glaze! Really wonderful condition. Blue printed cartouche wth Abbey 1790 and England, G Jones & Sons.

Tray for Breakfast c1930s
This is a most unusual piece. The round tray has a three bar toast rack with two circles, one indented the other raised for butter and preserve or marmalade. In absolutely pristine condition. Blue printed backstamp George Jones & Sons Abbey 1790 England and black printed registration number 777095

Cheese Dish c1930s
A wonderful large dish with wavy rim to the base and gently moulded detail to the cover. Backstamp: Abbey 1790 England. There is a little discolouration under the rim of the cover which just peeks through to the outside, a little minor wear under the rim of the base and being really picky we will mention that the glaze has bubbled very slightly on the base. Sounds much worse than it looks, this is a stunning dish.

Cheese Dish c1930s
St Ivel dish, shape AB11 in the Geo Jones trade catalogue. Backstamp: Abbey 1790 England G Jones & Sons. The cover has a little wear and discolouration to the foot rim and one or two tiny manufacturing blemishes. The base has a touch of very minor wear to the rim, overall both in excellent condition.

Cheese Dish Base c1930s
This is the base for the Wedge style Carlisle shape cheese dish AB45 in the Geo Jones 1930s catalogue. Backstamp: G Jones & Sons Abbey 1790 England. A little very minor wear to the outer rim and a couple of tiny blemishes to the face one of which has discoloured very slightly. Makes a great open butter dish.
