Jug or Pitcher c1930s
We have never seen Cauldon red dragon before and this jug or pitcher appears to have been made for the Welsh market as it has a red printed Draig Cymru backstamp. The body is creamy with the decoration in an almost terracota shade of red and there is green line decoration to rims and the handle.
There is a typical black printed backstamp of a crown over Royal Cauldon, England, Est 1774. Green script pattern number X 1118.
In lovely condition and a most attractive item, with appeal for both lovers of dragons and Wales.
