Toilet Set c1930s
A rare set in unusually good condition. It consists of ewer and bowl, chamber pot, soap dish and vase.
The ewer is octagonal, 10.5 ins 27 cm high and 5.25 ins 13.5 cm across the neck. The bowl is 16 sided, 15 ins 38 cm across and 4.75 ins 12 cm high. The chamber pot is 12 sided, 8.5 ins 22 cm high and 5.25 ins 13.5 cm high. The soap dish is three parts, base, drainer and cover. It is 12 side, 5 ins 12.5 cm across and 3 ins 7.5 cm high. The vase is octagonal, 4.75 ins 8 cm high.
The condition of all pieces is generally excellent, bright and clean with sound glaze. There are a few signs of wear in the base of the bowl, a tiny nick or rub to the neck rim of the chamber pot and running down for 1 ins 2.5 cm from the rim of the vase is a tight hairline.
Typical blue printed backstamp on each piece, which is blurred on the chamber pot.
We have never seen a set as complete and in such wonderful condition.
