Davenport originally made British Scenery from about 1850 and when they closed, Booths acquired the printing plates and continued producing the design in the same shade of steely blue.
In superb condition, virtually as new, with just an occasional line of craze in the glaze on the cover.

This is so so pretty. An oval open weave basket with delicate handles. Externally the basket is decorated with 60 tiny flowers, those around the handle join are particularly ornate.

Basket c1920s
A delicate oval basket with pierced sides, rope twist side handles and flowerette decoration, in the 19th Century British Scenery design, which was introduced by Davenport about 1850 and continued by Booths, after they bought the printing plates on Davenports demise in 1887. The basket itself is modelled on those made by the Worcester porcelain factory in the 18th century. There is so much history in this delightful early 20th Century example of Booths quality ceramics.
For such a delicate piece it is in remarkably good condition. As is usual with these finely modelled pieces there are a few stress cracks caused during firing and half a leaf and part of one petal is missing from one end under the handle fixing. There is some crazing to the glaze and a section of the pierced work was broken off in the past and has been professionally re-attached by our restorer. To most admirers it appears perfect and looks stunning on display.

Side or Cheese Plate c1930s
Davenport originally made British Scenery from about 1850 and when they closed, Booths acquired the printing plates and continued producing the design in the same shade of steely blue.
The glaze is crazed on some plates otherwise in excellent condition.
Blue printed backstamp British Scenery over Booths and crown, with Silicon China and Made in England beneath. Impressed Booths and date marks for early 1930s.

This is a gorgeous piece and has the added bonus of being complete with the candle snuffer. There is pretty printed decoration along the line of the handle. Caddy c1920s
A lovely piece with a delightful rural scene. It is particularly good to find a caddy complete with its lid. This one has the lovely grape vine border around the outside and small rural scene to the top. There is light crazing to both caddy and lid and the lid has a tiny tiny nick to the rim, otherwise both in superb condition.
