Pot c1920s
This pot is the base to a hair tidy and originally would have had a lid with a central hole in it, and was part of the dressing table set. The glaze is crazed and there is a minor glaze blemish which happened during manufacture.
It has a blue printed backstamp Caliph over Made in England with a crown and Woolworth in a banner.

Made by Woods for Woolworth. This is a wonderful set. It is so unusual to find the tray complete with all four pieces. The set comprises of an oval tray, hat pin holder, ring tidy (tiny glazing fault underneath), hair tidy (minor crazing) and covered pot. Overall in superb condition.
