Cup and Saucer c1950s
These large cups and saucers were often known as Joke cups and saucers. the cup has the lovely wide floral border around the inside and outside rim with an absolutely lovely continual rural scene around the body. The saucer again has the wide floral border with a lovely central scene of a milkmaid with two cows in front of a cottage. Both pieces crazed and the saucer has a hairline crack to the rim.
