Ginger Jar or Covered Vase c1930s
A beautiful covered jar by Wood & Sons in their traditional Prunus design. It is a good size, which gives it stature, and is in excellent condition. There is a tiny stress crack in the rim, which occurred during firing.

An absolutely gorgeous small vase with cover, in the Chinese manner, with a Dog of Fo finial on the cover.

There is a firing fault where the neck joins the body and another small one to the finial, otherwise excellent condition and shines like new.
