Jug or Pitcher Mostar c1930s
This has the beautiful floral and foliage border from the Castles pattern. Depicted on this jug is the bridge, and castle which guards it, at Mostar in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Erected in 1566 on the orders of Suleyman the Magnificent the world famous bridge was destroyed by shell fire on 9 November 1993 during the civil war.

Jug or Pitcher c1930s
Woods Castles series has a beautiful floral and foliage border, which surrounds the castle scene, as if you are catching a glimpse through an opening in the forest. Depicted on this jug is the bridge and castle, which guards it, at Mostar in Bosnia-Herzegovina. An absolutely magnificent wall plaque rarely seen so large and in such superb condition. The castle is Windsor Castle, lying to the west of London and the traditional country residence of the Kings and Queens of England, location of many of the historic Royal ceremonies.
Foot rim made with three holes on the back for ease of hanging. 1.625 ins high from foot to rim and "bowl" 1.25 ins deep. Light areas are reflected flash not faults.
