Sauce Tureen c1885
Made by Wood and Hulme of Garfield Pottery, Burslem. Diamond shaped sauce tureen with moulded decoration and added gilt, which is worn in places. Stands on four chunky moulded feet. Glaze is crazed, but otherwise fine.
Blue printed backstamp Balmoral in banner above W&H, B and, in a box(usually shows registration applies to the shape or body, rather than the pattern) Rd No 5455, for 1884 and impressed (also usually applicable to shape or body) Rd No 35544 for 1885.
