| Maker: Wedgwood Pattern:Basket Plate c1878 Fabulous plate in this unusual pattern, which is a bit of an enigma. It seems not to be the Basket pattern introduced about 1805 nor the later Basket and Flowers introduced about 1820, rather a variation on them both.
Backstamp: blue printed Basket and impressed 7 and Wedgwood. There also appears to be a impressed date code CDG for December 1878.
Some surface scratching, a little wear to the inner rim and quite a lot of blue smudging, not one of Wedgwoods' best print jobs.
Dimensions: 25.5 cm / 10 ins
