Cheese Dish c1910
A slightly darker blue than is usually associated with this pattern. The base has a restored corner with a hairline running in for about 4 ins. Beautifully patterned all over. The cover has a little minor staining inside to the rim, and a small rim chip that has been glazed over - obviously occurred during manufacture. Also to the cover there is a small spot of raw clay. Both pieces have crazing. As usually this all sounds awful but it is a lovely display piece.

It does have some crazing to the glaze, which in some areas has taken up a little light staining. There are two small areas of visible restoration to the rim, one small restoration underneath the rim of the cover and a small firing crack in the spout which can just be seen.

The glaze is crazed, with two areas of restoration to the foot and small under rim chip to the foot and a tiny knock and unsprung chip to the top rim. Sounds awful, but actually looks fine and is an attractive piece.

Cache Pot or Jardiniere c1916
Absolutely lovely! Made given the appearance of a piece constructed in wood. Crazed with a little light associated discolouration mainly inside. Blue printed backstamp Arcadian Chariots in floral cartouche, impressed Wardle, England and also an impressed registration number, for the shape, for 1916.

Vase Portland c1910
Made by Wardle & Co of Washington Pottery, Hanley, Staffordshire.
This is rather chubby to be a true Portland vase and the side handles are mere apologies for grand loop handles. However, it has a charm of its own.
The glaze is crazed and there is an area of amateur restoration on both neck and foot rims and a chunk out of the neck rim has been restuck, but well. Looks fine on display.

There is some crazing to the glaze, but generally it is pretty good. One vase is fine and the other has two hairlines running down from the rim, with a restored rim chip.
