This is an absolutely fabulous octagonal jug with a lions head as the spout and lovely moulded detail to the handle.
No backstamp.
It has just a little crazing with some minor wear mainly to the handle and body and the lions mouth has a very very small chip. Overall fantastic!

This is a delightful little chap modelled on the earlier Prestopans. There is a little flaking of colour to his trousers and the original bung is missing otherwise in excellent condition.

Absolutely magnificent comport with ochre rim, hand painted floral decoration, ornate pierced side handles and standing on a fabulous ornate foot.

Comport c1840
Blue printed under the glaze with hand applied colour and gilt highlights to the ornate side handles. This would probably once have had a cover but is a lovely piece in its own right. There is some scratching inside and signs of wear around the outer rim both showing a little discolouration. Also a small rub to the rim. As usual sounds pretty awful but infact this is a lovely piece. Pattern number in teracotta 3/997.

Sauce Tureen Stand c1880
Very attractive piece with ochre rim and gilt highlights to the embossed detail on the side handles. Probably a stand for a sauce tureen but a delightful piece on its own.
Backstamp: Impressed x and in script 1684.
Light all over crazing with just a hint of discolouration on the back. The face is bright and clean.

Sauce Tureen Stand c1840
Although long since parted from their tureens these small stands are lovely pieces in their own right. blue printed under the glaze with hand applied enamel colour. The intricate side handles are highlighted with gilt. Both show minor signs of wear mainly to the inner and outer rims. This shade of teracotta works so well with blue.

Plate c1830
Gorgeous plate with gadrooned rim. Blue printed with added colour and gilt highlights.
Backstamp: blue printed cartouche with an urn and a drape containing the words Iron Stone China. Similar backstamps are recorded as having been used by John Cormie and one of the Hackwood factories. It has not been possible to attribute this plate to either with any certainty.
There is a little minor wear to the rim and just a touch on the back but overall excellent condition.

Fabulous plate with gadrooned rim in the style of Hicks, Meigh & Johnson. The Impro'd Canton China backstamp has been found on three different patterns, although it cannot be attributed to a specific maker.
Backstamp: blue printed Improv'd Canton China.
A little surface scratching and some wear to the rim and on the back a little wear and discolouration. Colour is hand applied so depth of colour varies a little from plate to plate.
