| Maker: Unattributed Maker Pattern:Unidentified Pattern Jug or Pitcher c1820 An unusual pattern on this jug, printed in a steely blue.
No backstamp.
There is a small shallow chip and a few minor rubs to the rim and a little wear to the handle. There is a short hairline in the angle where the spout joins the body and another running horizontally in the body for about 2.25ins 6cm, which appears to have orginated from a manufacturing defect, rather than damage. Sounds awful but as the hairlines are only visible on close inspection, it looks great. Overall this is a fabulous jug.
Dimensions: 2.4 ltr, 19 cm high / 4 pint, 7.5 ins high
|
| Maker: Unattributed Maker Pattern:Unidentified Pattern Jug or Pitcher c1820 Attractive small jug with decorative moulded handle. There is some wear to the shoulder and also a little to the rim and a touch to the handle and underneath where the glaze is worn, but overall a lovely little jug. No makers marks. The pattern is thought to represent shepherd David protecting his flock of sheep from a bear, although the bear is not visible in this view. A slop bowl in this pattern was displayed at the True Blue exhibition 1998 and described as a previously unrecorded pattern. Dimensions: 9 cm high, 0.15 ltr / 3.5 ins high, 0.5 pint

| Maker: Unattributed Maker Pattern:Unidentified Pattern Jug or Pitcher c1800 One of the best and earliest antique chinoiserie jugs we have seen for a while. We have yet to identify the pattern but watch this space! It has a most unusual border pattern. The glaze of this jug is crazed and there are a few minor signs of wear to the handle. There is a small "blob" of ink from the transfer on the foot of the jug (visible in the thumbnail photograph), otherwise this is a lovely jug in excellent condition. Dimensions: 11 cm high / 4.25 ins high
|
| Maker: Unattributed Maker Pattern:Unidentified Pattern Jug or Pitcher c1810 This early china creamer has shared its life with rich cream as there is some cream staining, mainly affecting one side, the rim and the base. The other side is quite white. There is also a faint short hairline in the rim.
It is printed in light blue with an oriental scene, apparently depicting a mother and child.
There is a blue printed 444 on the base, but no maker's mark. Dimensions: 0.2 ltr 9 cm high / 0.3 pint 3.5 ins high

| Maker: Unattributed Maker Pattern:Unidentified Pattern Jug or Pitcher c1820 This is a large and wonderful piece! Fabulous street scene complete with Regency strollers, sedan chair and horse and carriage. Blue printed backstamp of Stone China on a scroll fringed with foliage.
It has light all over crazing, two small hairlines to the body and inside a chip, which probably started out as a firing fault. There is a small firing crack to the inside rim and some general wear mainly around the top rim and spout of the jug and some light staining inside. Overall it is bright and clean and looks superb on display. A jug as large as this is rarely found today.
