Maker: Unattributed Maker  Pattern:The Angry Lion

A quirky scene set in a slightly Eastern landscape with an apparently angry lion advancing towards two fleeing figures. The maker remains unidentified, but this pattern is popular and collected today. The glaze is finely crazed. Has three short hairlines runing in from the rim. Not as bad as it sounds and on display looks fine. No makers backstamp.

A quirky scene set in a slightly Eastern landscape with an apparently angry lion advancing towards two fleeing figures. The maker remains unidentified, but this pattern is popular and collected today. There are some signs of use, but this plate is in excellent condition. On the back there are a few lines of craze in the glaze that could be hairlines, but they do not show on the front, which is bright and clean. No maker's backstamp.
