This early mug features a version of the popular Milkmaid pattern printed in a dark blacky brown. This is a rustic piece and not great art. No backstamp. The glaze is finely crazed and there is a touch of associated staining here and there. On the generous rounded foot rim, there are several stress cracks and lines in the glaze, that probably occurred during firing. Displays OK, just don't look too closely.
