Meat Dish or Platter with tree and well c1845
Fabulous large tree and well dish, with a Chinoiserie scene of pagoda, large flowers and two Chinese figures in the foreground, all printed in black with hand painted colour. Backstamp: no maker's mark, pattern number 1 over 467 in ochre script and black printed F and a D? This pattern is known made by Barker & Till and their successors Thomas Till & Son, who used pattern number 497? The glaze is finely crazed and there is a little minor wear to rim, but otherwise almost as new.
