A popular and strongly collected design showing prominently two women picking hops into a large basket aided by a young boy. A third women crouches behind a smaller basket apparently stripping hops from the vine. Backstamp: blue printed rock within foliage cartouche containing the pattern name Hop Pickers. Few signs of wear and utensil marks, but generally excellent condition. The glaze is sound. Tiny rim chip and nick at 6 o'clock and rim flake at 2 o'clock. On back nibble behind rim and others to footrim, however, it still displays well.
