Bidet c1840
A most unusual piece and made to fit into a wooden stand but with pattern on the outside also, it can stand alone. The pattern is found with a printed backstamp with the name Chantilly, although no indication of maker. There appear to be two versions and one, as here, has an extra tall jar in the centre foreground. Good quality print and manufacture. No backstamp. Light all over crazing with some wear and a little discolouration mainly to the outer rim and underneath. Elsewhere the occasional minor blemish.

Delightful little jug. No backstamp. Crazed with some associated discolouration otherwise good condition.
