Dish c1840
Lovely dish printed in quite a dark blue for this pattern. No backstamp. There is a little minor discolouration, mainly on the back and some wear to the rim resulting in a little loss of glaze. Underneath there is a little minor pitting and wear to the foot rim.

Vegetable Dish Base c1840
A lovely dish, beautifully patterned both inside and out. Would once have had a cover but is a lovely piece on its own. No backstamp. Light crazing with just a hint of discolouration and some surface scratching.

Backstamp: Impressed 8. A little surface scratching and on the back to the foot rim there is a small manufacturing fault which has discoloured. Overall a lovely plate.

Side or Cheese Plate c1830
Castle is a design usually associated with Spode, but it was copied by other makers. This plate may have been made at Swansea. No maker's backstamp. Excellent condition.

An amazing example of an early rimmed soup plate. Backstamp: Impressed 6 or 9. Excellent condition.

Drainer c1825
Castle pattern is most often associated with Spode, but it was also made by the Swansea Potteries and Clews. This drainer has no maker's backstamp, but may be by one of the Swansea Potteries, where it was known as Castle Gatehouse or Gateway pattern. The glaze is finely crazed and there is a little light associated staining in one area, a tiny nick on one hole and another on bottom rim, but all very minor, as overall it is in excellent condition. On the back there is an impressed 12 and two impressed circles.

Knife Rests Pair c1820
Small rests with parts of Castle pattern applied so that each rest is slightly different. Both have some wear to the top. One has two small chip to the base rim, one of these is really miniscule. The other also two small chips to the base rim plus four under the rim a couple of which peek through. Overall lovely rests.

Knife Rests Pair c1820
Small rests with parts of Castle pattern applied so that each rest is different. Impressed P. Both rests have wear to the top rims. One has three chips to the bottom rim and another underneath which just peeks through. The other has a very small chip to the bottom rim at one end. Overall a lovely pair of rests.

Platter small c1810
Fabulous small platter with pierced detail to the rim. Backstamp: Impressed daisy. Light all over crazing with just a little minor wear to the outer rim, overall excellent condition and an absolute joy!

So much to see on this fabulous chinoiserie plate. No backstamp. Light crazing with a little minor wear to the rim and some surface scratching, but overall excellent condition.

Meat Dish or Platter Windsor Castle c1850
This is a charming view of Windsor Castle, the country home of the Queen in Berkshire complete with promenading ladies and gentleman and passing soldiers on horseback. This view is one of a series, which some call Castles & Palaces, although we have used Old England as it is printed on the back. Examples are found printed in black, green, pink and slate gray. This lovely large platter is printed in a bluey-green. Apart from some utensil marks from use and minor rubbing to the rim the face is bright and clean. There is some crazing to the glaze on the back, which has taken up some staining. Printed backstamps of post 1837 Royal Arms with Imperial Stone above and Old England, Windsor Castle. Impressed is the word Pearl.

Meat Dish or Platter c1840
An absolutely wonderful large dish showing Windsor castle with a very pretty floral and entwined ribbon border. No backstamp. Fine all over crazing otherwise excellent condition.

Plate c1850
Charming view of Windsor Castle with deer park in foreground, printed in black with blue highlighting to sky and river. Excellent condition. No makers backstamp, but view similar to Cauldon's Royal Castle series and also similar to Knight & Elkin's Baronial Halls series.
