Teapot c1815
An absolutely fabulous early cottage shape teapot. Although this is a Hilditch pattern the teapot is not one of their shapes. No backstamp. With handle to the right, on the far side of the pot there is some discolouration under the glaze and this also occurs a little elsewhere and on the near side there is a small star hairline. Under the spout there is a tiny tiny nick and to the handle join a very small manufacturing fault. This sounds so much worse than it looks, it is a fabulous pot.
