Dinner Plate c1800
This is one of the oldest transfer printed designs and taken from the Chinese by Josiah Spode. Quite thickly engraved and printed in a dark blue. The plate is in lovely condition but there is a small chip on the rim at 11 oclock. No makers mark, but probably Spode, although this design was produced by other potters.
