Soup Tureen Stand c1848
This is gorgeous! A large round stand printed in a soft steely greeny/grey with ornate moulded decoration around the pierced side handles. This would make a stunning stand for a celebration cake or a mountain of profiteroles. The pattern is Rose Wreath, for which the first factory pattern number was 7803 in 1848. Later it was marketed as Piccadilly pattern number D6361 Backstamp: Printed Copeland Late Spode, registration mark for 9 September 1847 and impressed Copeland. A few minor signs of wear, overall excellent condition.
