Meat Dish or Platter c1881
Stunning dish with ochre rim and gilt highlights. Spode produced at least 20 versions of this popular pattern and at different times it was called India Tree or the more usual Indian Tree. Backstamp: Copeland, impressed Copeland and date for February 1881 and in script pattern number D1628. There is a little surface scratching and wear to the ochre, overall excellent condition.
