Absolutely wonderful design of exotic bird with fruit and flowers all in hand applied enamel colour, set against a pretty background of delicate blue daisies on a white background. This pattern was originally called Raleigh, but was renamed George III, specifically for sale through Harrods of London. The transfer is just a little hazy in parts otherwise in excellent condition. Blue printed Copeland late Spode seal backstamp, with registered number 677526 (for 9 August 1920) and Spode's George III. Pattern number 2/7342 in script. Impressed Copeland over crown. Impressed date for December 1922.

Attractive dish, blue printed under the glaze with rich hand applied enamel colour to the bird, flowers and fruit. Blue printed backstamp of Copeland & Late Spode seal, impressed crown and impressed date for 192? Light crazing but the front of the dish still shines like new.
