Comport c1847
Fabulous dish with the side handles highlighted with gilt.
Backstamp: rare black printed COPELAND and registration diamond for 14 September 1846.
There is some wear to the gilt, a few minor blemishes and a little brown mottling underneath otherwise is in excellent condition. A very attractive piece.

Sauce Tureen c1847
With Gilt. Fabulous sauce tureen and stand, with the side handles on stand and tureen and central finial on the cover all highlighted with gilt.
Backstamp: rare black printed COPELAND and registration diamond for 14 September 1846 and on stand Late Spode and impressed Copeland.
The stand has minor wear to the gilt and is a slightly different shade of black to the tureen and cover, otherwise is in excellent condition. The tureen has a little wear to the gilt, a small hairline to the body and some mottling inside. There are also a couple of firing faults where the handles join the tureen. The cover has a small nick and three under rim chips which are not noticeable when it is in situ' and the finial has an evident soldered repair. This sounds much worse than it looks!

An absolutely fabulous drainer with the central scene surrounded by a wonderful floral and foliage border.

There is a chip to the rim at approximately
2 o'clock and a little minor wear and touch of discolouration otherwise absolutely fine.
