This large tree and well or goose platter was made between 1815 and 1833 and has the impressed Spode mark with 1 underneath. Fabulous basket with extremely ornate pierced rim and handles both with decorative embossed detail and basket weave effect to the body. | Maker: Spode Pattern:Castle Soup Tureen Stand c1820 Spode's famous Castle pattern, which was introduced around 1806. This large stand was made between 1815 and 1833 and has the impressed Spode mark with 9 beneath and a blue printed B. On the back the glaze is crazed and there are signs of age and a glaze blemish. There has been a knock to the bottom rim which has left an unsprung chip. On the face the glaze is lightly crazed with some signs of use but bright and clean.
