Fabulous very large dish with the central scene surrounded by a wonderful border pattern of leaves, scrolls and vignettes including a reindeer pulled sleigh! Backstamp: Damask Border South Wales Pottery and impressed South Wales Pottery Llanelly. Light all over crazing with a little wear to the outer rim and a few minor blemishes.

A rarely seen pattern from South Wales Pottery. Backstamp: blue printed cartouche containing DAMASK BORDER with SOUTH WALES POTTERY beneath. Also bears sticker for Morley College Ceramic Circle Exhibition 1974.
