Royal Doulton. A lovely flow blue jug or pitcher with a pearly glaze. Two gentleman in Cavalier style dress drink a toast to Sweethearts and Wives! The toast is printed on a decorated shield on the front of the jug and on the other side is a serving wench bringing more drink. There is some blurring to the print of the neck border decoration and minor stress cracks inside the bend of the handle, all would have occurred during manufacture. This jug is in superb condition and makes both a striking display and talking point. Blue printed backstamp lion over crown with Doulton "daisy", with Royal Doulton and England.
Dimensions: 1.5 ltr 19.5 cm high / 2.5 pint 7.75 ins high
