An intriguing plate with a faux coat of arms depicting different foodstuffs in each quarter with the Latin phrase Utrum Horum Mavis Accipe which translated means Take Whichever of Those You Prefer, and was often used to conclude a debate. It was also asked of a noviate nun as she decided whether to leave or join her Order. Backstamp: Royal Doulton England Provence, impressed Doulton Burslem England roundel and impressed date code for April 1904.
Light crazing and a very small chip under the rim which just peeks through.
