A most unusual jug printed in a rich dark blue. To the body images of Faneuiel Hall Boston, Washingtons Farewell to His Officers, Signing Declaration of Independence, Washington Crossing The Delaware and Independence Hall and inside the spout the Liberty Bell. Around the rim are images of USA presidents and below them some signatures from the Declaration of Independence.
Backstamp: Historical Pottery R & M The Rowland & Marsellus Co Staffordshire England Rd No 527015. Rowland and Marsellus were US importers, who comissioned various Staffordshire potteries to produce wares exclusively for them.
Excellent condition.
