No backstamp, but this pattern was made by John & Richard Riley of the Nile Street and Hill Works, Burslem active 1814 to 1828.
There is a little roughness to the stilt marks inside to the base otherwise excellent condition.

| Maker: Riley Pattern:Peonies Mosaic Plate pierced rim c1825 Several makers produced variants of this design and sometimes it is called Basket and Flowers, simply Basket or Basket of Flowers. This is a rather bold, vibrant version, in which the flowers dominate the basket and examples have been found impressed Riley for John & Richard Riley of Burslem, active 1796-1828. Their name for the pattern was apparently Peonies or Mosaic.

A tiny rim chip on the back of the piercing and the glaze is finely crazed, but bright and clean. Looks fine. Dimensions: 19 cm / 7.5 ins
