Vegetable Dish with Cover c1880
Rathbone Smith & Co of Soho Pottery, High Street, Tunstall active 1883 to 1896. Attractive dish standing on four small feet. To the base there is some wear around the rim and some areas of light brown mottling but the good news is no chips, cracks or crazing! Typical blue printed cartouche backstamp with R S & Co. The cover is a very slightly different shade of blue to the base. It also has a little mottling and there is a little wear to the handle. Overall this is a lovely dish and sounds far worse than it looks!

To the base there is some wear around the rim and some areas of light brown mottling mainly underneath. There are however no chips, cracks or crazing! The cover also has a little minor mottling, a little wear to the handle and there are a couple of marks to the rim where it would have stood in the kiln, but overall it still shines like new.

Lovely large rimmed soup plate with a little light crazing and just a small minor very light stain to the face.
