Made by Pountney & Allies of Bristol. Lovely plate with gorgeous floral border surrounding the central scene. Backstamp: Impressed P. A little discolouration to the outer rim and a little also to the stilt marks otherwise excellent condition.

Warming Dish c1820
An unusual design, where the plants dwarf the ruined abbey and people. It has a most attractive border design. Made during the Pountney and Allies period at the Bristol factory 1816 to 1835. No maker's backstamp. The glaze is finely crazed and there is a short minor stress line on the edge of the bowl, which occurred during manufacture. Overall in excellent condition.
