Vegetable Dish with Cover c1870
Old Hall Earthenware Company Limited of Hanley. A most unusual dish. It is the fairly common rectangular shape with moulded side handles and standing on four small feet. The base, however has a central divide which has lovely Pheasant decoration each side. As for condition ...well the base is crazed with associated staining and where the divide joins the main dish there are small stress cracks. The lid has fine crazing but otherwise is fine. This is probably a marriage as the base is a slightly steelier blue than the cover. Blue printed backstamp on the base OHE Co Ltd

Vegetable Dish with Cover c1880
Made by the Old Hall Earthenware Co Ltd of Hanley, active 1861 to 1886, this is an attractive small dish. Rectangular with moulded side handles.
There is a little crazing to the glaze on the cover, with some staining inside the rim. Overall, though, this is in excellent condition and a fine small dish.
Blue printed Asiatic Pheasants cartouche with OHE Co Ltd.
