Porcelain. This pattern is also known as Chinamen on a Verandah, Verandah and Pavilion. It was made by Miles Mason and subsequently by his son Charles James Mason and two other makers believed to be New Hall and Hicks and Meigh. This is the version attributed to New Hall.

Light all over crazing with a little discolouration and a small hairline to the rim.

Teabowl and Saucer c1810
Porcelain. This pattern is also known as Chinamen on a Verandah, Verandah and Pavilion. It was made by Miles Mason and subsequently by his son Charles James Mason and two other makers believed to be New Hall and Hicks and Meigh. This is the version attributed to New Hall.

The saucer has a lengthy hairline across the face, on the left, which goes through to the base and a little surface scratching. There are also three manufacturing chips to the rim, which have been decorated and glazed over. The bowl has a piece of grit in the glaze inside and a little wear to the foot otherwise excellent condition. The saucer has a few pieces of grit in the glaze on the right in the tree, otherwise excellent condition.
