One of a series of 12 scenes designed by W P Simpson This tile features a donkey and her foal. Backstamp: Minton Hollins & Co Patent Tile Works Stoke on Trent. Light all over crazing. On the front a large chip to the lower left corner and a little minor pitting to the rest of the rim. On the back there is what would appear to be a little smoke damage and a chip to the lower right corner which shows through to the front a little.
