A romantic stylised landscape with flowers and foliage all set within a floral and scenic vignette border. Introduced by Minton in the early 1830s, a similar design was produced by Pountney. Backstamp: blue printed scroll and floral cartouche containing Sicilian. Impressed sun burst. There is one minute nick right on the rim at 11 o'clock. The glaze is sound. Overall virtually as new.
