| Maker: Minton Pattern:Camel and Giraffe Meat Dish or Platter c1815 A camel and giraffe set amidst an Oriental landscape are the main features of this intriguing design. Thomas Minton took his inspiration for the animals from the wood engravings of Thomas Bewick.
This impressive platter is in excellent condition. There are some minor utensils marks from use and behind the rim at the bottom there is an old knock, but it is not chipped. The glaze is sound and overall this platter looks as bright as the day Minton made it almost 200 years ago.
No maker's backstamp, which is typical with this pattern.

Few minor blemishes in glaze, which is finely crazed, but still shiny and bright. On the rim, a small old chip, another unsprung chip and a few rubs and wear. Small chip to footrim. Looks fine on display!
