The scene depicts Nuneham Courtenay, Oxfordshire, the seat of the Earl Harcourt, set in grounds laid out by Capability Brown around 1780. Made by Middlesbrough Pottery of Middlesbrough on Tees, Yorkshire, this magnificent meat dish is a truly lovely example of this pattern. Light crazing to the glaze otherwise excellent condition. Impressed Middlesbrough anchor.

Made by Middlesbrough Pottery of Middlesbrough on Tees, Yorkshire. No backstamp. There is a little loss of glaze to the stilt marks and the occasional very minor blemish, overall excellent condition and an absolutely fabulous plate.
