Comport c1847
Attractive octagonal dish with pierced side handles, probably once had a cover. Backstamp: Impressed Registered by Mellor Venables & Co No 44015 July 15 1846, with impressed and printed registration marks. The underside of the dish has some brown mottling and there is some staining inside, but overall a lovely piece. Would make a fabulous tablecentre fruit bowl.
