The glaze is very finely crazed, hardly noticeable, as it is bright and clean. Three stilt marks on face. Short hairline running in from rim at 9 o'clock, gets lost in the pattern, so does not spoil the look of this charming dish.

Attractive English country scene of two boys fishing in river, with cows and water-mill beyond and mansion in distance.
Printed in fairly dark blue and lovely sense of perspective from the use of light and dark tones.
Backstamp is an impressed MEIR.
Some signs of use and a rub to the rim, but the glaze is sound and this whole plate is bright and clean. Lovely smaller plate in this popular pattern. Dimensions: 21 cm / 8.25 ins

Couple of small areas of wear to rim of bowl and border of plate, with a rim chip at 2 o'clock. On the back the foot rim has some minor nicks and chips. Some fine crazing to the glaze, but generally sound. Dimensions: 25 cm / 9.75 ins
