Meat Dish or Platter c1897
Gorgeous dish with wavy rim. This was made at the time Adams bought the Greengates Pottery from the Meir family in 1897 and is a rare example as this platter bears both their names.
Backstamp: typical blue printed cartouche Asiatic Pheasants JM & S and beneath W Adams & Co Tunstall. Impressed Real Ironstone China.
A little wear to the outer rim otherwise excellent condition. A fabulous piece.

Covered Dish c1870
Gorgeous dish beautifully patterned inside and to the cover with cartouches around the outside.
Backstamp: Asiatic Pheasants J M & S and impressed Real Ironstone China.
Inside the base there is just a little minor discolouration to the stilt marks. The cover has some discolouration to the rim and a little to the handle which also has some firing faults to the base where they join the cover. Overall a fabulous dish.

Dish c1880s
Fabulous dish, beautifully patterned both inside and out, with ornate side handles and standing on four small feet. Actually the base of a vegetable dish but a lovely piece on its own.
Backstamp: Asiatic Pheasants J M & S.
Light crazing and inside a little minor roughness to the stilt marks and underneath some discolouration to one foot. Also there is a little minor wear and a small area of restoration to the rim.

Comport c1880
Made by John Meir & Son of Tunstall, this delightful oval covered comport or footed vegetable dish is excellent quality and in fine condition. Just a few typical brown speckles in the glaze. A real gem.

Delightful small tureen with moulded body and standing on four small feet, sadly lacking a cover and stand.

There is a little discolouration to the handles and one or two minor blemishes, overall excellent condition.
