Maker: Meigh  Pattern:Thessalian
Charger c1840
Made by Charles Meigh of Old Hall Works, Hanley, Staffordshire active 1832 to 1850. This is a wonderful large charger with ornate border pattern. It seems that Charles Meigh did not have a transfer quite large enough, as part of the pattern is repeated on the lower section! Backstamp: Thessalian CM and impressed improved stone china. Light all over crazing with just a little discolouration although this is mainly on the back and there is a very small hairline to the rim, overall excellent condition.
Dimensions: 37cm diameter / 14.75 ins diameter
