Unusual platter with the lovely rural Woodland scene to the centre but the border pattern is the one usually associated with the Blue Pheasant design. Light crazing otherwise in superb condition with barely a scratch to the surface. Impressed date for February 1907. Blue printed backstamp. Ashworth Bros England.

Gooseberry Jar c1914
It may be a little fanciful to imagine this was for gooseberries but it is made to be robust and has an indented neck for securing a covering. Clearly designed for storing or preserving a fruit or vegetable. Backstamp Ashworth Bros Hanley and inscribed in the clay Ashworth 1914 A little minor discolouration underneath otherwise excellent condition.

Attractive pot standing on four small feet and decorated in Masons lovely rural Woodland pattern. The shape is rectangular with concave corners. The spout and handle are both beautifully decorated and there is a lovely little loop handle to the cover. Light all over crazing with a few minor signs of wear. This pattern also sometimes known as Farmyard. Lovely rectangular dishes with white gadrooned rim. Border pattern outside the base with lovely rural scenes inside to the base and to the cover. Minor signs of wear to the rims and finial and a little minor smudging of the transfer to the base, not noticeable when cover in situ'.

Breakfast Cup with Cover and Saucer c1920s
Delightful rural scenes on the saucer,cup and cover. Cups have light crazing with just a little minor wear around the rim. The latter not noticeable when the cover is in situ'. Pretty floral decoration to the finial and along the line of the handle. Typical blue printed backstamp.

Cache Pot or Jardiniere c1920s
This is such an unusual planter. The gently flared rim is decorated inside with the vine leaf border and the lovely rural scene either side of the body. All over crazing noticeably mainly inside and just a couple of very small areas where the glaze is thin and the transfer appears slighly green. These however are not major and do not detract in any way from this super piece.

Vases Pair with Covers c1920s
Decorated with lovely rural scenes, on a pair of octagonal vases which are in superb condition. One vase just slightly shorter than the other. Dark blue printed backstamp Masons over crown with Patent Ironstone China on curtain. This backstamp would suggest a date about 1880, however, we know that these vases were purchased new from a well known department store in the early 1920s and have been in the same careful family ever since. Finely potted, well printed and extremely decorative.
