Maker: Masons  Pattern:Opium Smokers

C J Mason & Co. The inspiration for this pattern was taken from two engravings, Chinese Gentleman and View in a Chinese Garden by Thomas and William Daniell. Apparently the figures are not actually smoking opium as the pipe shown is not an opium pipe. This is a fabulous shallow dish with moulded wavy rim. No backstamp. A little very minor wear otherwise excellent condition.
Dimensions: 28 cm x 19 cm & 4.5 cm high / 11 ins x 7.5 ins & 1.75 ins high
