It also honoured Councillor Arthur W Lambert, Lord Mayor of Newcastle, Chairman of the Exhibition and joint-proprietor of Townsend. His portrait is on the lower rim and the main scene is a composite of the bridge and Newcastle's industries, with Maling's Pottery tucked into the left foreground.

| Maker: Maling Pattern:1929 Exhibition Commemorative Plaque c1929 This famous charger or plaque was produced by Maling for Townsend & Co, China Merchants for Newcastle to commemorate the North East Coast Industries Exhibition, Newcastle upon Tyne, May 1929 Oct. More particularly it honoured Councillor Arthur W Lambert, Lord Mayor of Newcastle, Chairman of the Exhibition and joint-proprietor of Townsend. His portrait is on the front at the bottom and the main scene is a composite of the bridge and Newcastle's industries, with Maling's Pottery tucked into the left foreground. This is the early version of this scene with the words Maling's Pottery on the roof rather than the shorter Maling Ware, which was the replacement when the printing plates had to be repaired and this area re-engraved.

| Maker: Maling Pattern:Ringtons Bridges Tea Canister c1929 This is the squat version of canister and is the special canister produced for the North-East Coast Industries Exhibition. Around the body of the canister are featured: Wearmouth Bridge Sunderland, Royal Tweed Bridge Berwick, High Level & Swing Bridges Newcastle, The New Tyne Bridge Newcastle, and St Nicholas Cathedral Newcastle. The canister has light crazing and a little minor discolouration around the rim otherwise is in excellent condition. It has blue printed backstamp TR (Ringtons Tea) with a picture of the Ringtons offices & Warehouse Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and underneath Maling Ware Regd Nos 745864-5. The lid has some staining underneath and has blue printed backstamp.
